This was a feature design project for Stanford’s 2025 Designathon. We collaborated with Partiful to help them solve the problem of helping college students discover new events to attend.

Our key insight from user interviews was that college students find events to attend through friends. By extension, they are unlikely to go to new events if familiar faces will not be there.

To address this problem, we designed the Party Animals feature, which allow users to “gift” events to their friends.

As a designathon project, it was a fast-paced but rewarding 40-hour sprint that pushed us to prioritize and focus on the core functionalities for a compelling feature. We were excited to earn the runner-up position this year and are already looking forward to the next one!
