For this project, I led a design overhaul of the website for Ma’s House, a local chain of Chinese Halal restaurants.
Through interviews with the owners, staff, and customers, I gained insights into both the company’s values and the customer base.

The restaurant only uses authentic Halal meat, and is transparent about its source.

I explored several visual styles for the website before landing on a black-and-gold theme, which struck the right balance between modern and traditional.
The black created a clean, contemporary look, while the gold connects to its traditional use in Islamic art.
